Sometimes the chaos of the holidays calls for a little adventure. If you haven’t taken the quick trip to the NOMA Districtyou’re missing out. From trendy vegan restaurants to a local farmers market, you are about to have a new perspective on the other side of Main Street.

This neighborhood is affectionately known as NOMA, which is famous for combining suburban lifestyle while also being close to downtown. This area is made up of six different sections – Earlewood, Elmwood Park, Cottontown/Bellevue, Hyatt Park, Eau Claire + College Place.

First things first here are a few fast facts about North Main:


    • This area is characterized by large brick homes, new businesses + trolly lines from the mid 1800s
    • ~52% of the homes are owned, ~36% are rented + ~13% are vacant, as of July 2020
    • It’s about a five-mile stretch down Main Street from Elmwood to I-20

Indah Coffee | 2238 Sumter St. Lattes and espressos and pastries, oh my.

The Vino Garage | 2501 Main St. Stop by on the first + third Wednesday of the month for $5 wine tastings.

Located between North Main and River Drive near the downtown neighborhoods of Cottontown, Elmwood Park, Earlewood, Laurel Hill and Canal Place.

Earlewood Park | 1113 Recreation Dr.

Located between River Drive and North Main Street, Earlewood Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in the city.
