12,000 Year History Park — Colonial Forts Tour | Saturday, Feb. 4 | 1 p.m. | Cayce Tennis Center, 1120 Fort Congaree Trail, Cayce | Free | This two-mile free history tour is about two hours long and sponsored by the City of Cayce.
A Talk and Tasting at Historic Columbia | Saturday, Feb. 4 | 2-4 p.m. | Hampton-Preston Mansion & Gardens, 1615 Blanding St., Columbia | $35 | Join authors Chef Kevin Mitchell and Professor David Shields for a lively discussion of their award-winning book, “Taste the State: South Carolina’s Signature Foods, Recipes, and Their Stories.”
