If you’re a traveler at heart, the pandemic has undoubtedly caused some heartache + major wanderlust – and we’re right there with you. For those ready to travel, one of the safest ways to get away while following social distancing protocols is a weekend road trip to a nearby destination.

One such destination is Beaufort, SC, the second oldest city in SC (just a ~2.5-hour drive away). Beaufort was recently named one of the 11 Best Small Towns in Americaby Travel + Leisure and has been voted the “South’s Best Small Town” by Southern Living, and for good reason — the historic downtown is coastal, scenic, and easily walkable, ft. small streets lined with oak trees dripping in Spanish Moss.
