As we settle into the new year, we’re looking back on 2023 to pinpoint the top 20 hottest zip codes that attracted homebuyers across the country via Opendoor’s latest report.

Drumroll, please:
  1. Cypress, TX — 77433
  2. Katy, TX — 77493
  3. Clarksville, TN — 37042
  4. Yukon, OK — 73099
  5. Summerville, SC — 29486
  6. Forney, TX — 75126
  7. Aubrey, TX — 76227
  8. New Braunfels, TX — 78130
  9. San Antonio, TX — 78253
  10. Fort Worth, TX — 76197
Cypress, Texas jumped the list to #1 (from #7 in 2022), and six new neighborhoods — from Wake Forest, North Carolina, to Davenport, Florida — made their debut.

While Cola didn’t make the top 10 this time, South Carolina is currently the fastest-growing state in the US.

A top feature drawing buyers this year is towns with convenient amenities instead of the congestion of bigger cities. We wouldn’t be surprised if Soda City makes the list next year.
