One of Columbia’s most well-known chefs is stepping into a new role at Hampton Street Vineyard. Wesley Fulmer, former executive chef at Motor Supply Bistro, is now leading the kitchen and joining owner Jonathan Lopez as a managing partner.
Fulmer brings years of experience in French, Southern, and Lowcountry cuisine, and his hiring signals a fresh chapter for downtown Cola’s upscale French restaurant. The restaurant will continue its wine tastings and dinners, with Fulmer’s first event set for tomorrow — a Mardi Gras Dinner featuring Louisiana-inspired dishes.
With Lopez’s background as Columbia’s only Advanced Sommelier and Fulmer’s reputation for seasonal, locally sourced menus, Hampton Street Vineyard is shaping up to be a must-visit for Columbia’s food lovers.
