Before there were the Fireflies there were the Gems, Skyscrapers, Comers, Mets, Reds, Gamecocks, Sandlappers, and the Bombers, all minor league baseball teams in the Capital City. The Senators were the first team, who played in the Sally League for a short stint before the name was revived nearly 40 years later.
