Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just beginning your fitness journey, Pilates offers a low-impact, full-body workout that delivers results. Plus, it’s fun.
At studios like Rise Fitness + Wellness, expert instructors guide clients through intentional movements designed to build strength and improve mobility. Benefits include:
Core strength + stability: Pilates is renowned for building a strong core, which is essential for balance, posture, and injury prevention. By engaging deep abdominal muscles, practitioners develop stability that supports everyday movement.
Mind-body connection: With an emphasis on controlled movements and intentional breathing, Pilates fosters mindfulness, reducing stress and promoting mental clarity.
Improved flexibility + mobility: Pilates focuses on lengthening muscles while strengthening them. This approach enhances flexibility and joint mobility, helping to reduce stiffness and increase range of motion.
SC’s proposed budget includes $200 million for bridge upgrades, $50 million for Hurricane Helene road repairs, and $9 million for general improvements. Columbia projects like Hardscrabble Road and Carolina Crossroads could also benefit through separate funding and earmarks. Final budget approval is expected this summer. (WLTX)
