Over the past 15 years, Capital City Stadium has nearly become a Walmart, a Kroger, and multiple apartment projects. Now, the city says it’s close to a deal.
While specific plans haven’t been released, the city’s request for proposals calls for a mixed-use development that could include housing and retail. Mills District Alliance board member Vi Hendley told WLTX, “Mixed-use is exactly what we need to have on the property,” adding that the city “could certainly use a mid-sized music venue.”
The project could also align with planned connectivity improvements along Assembly Street and the Olympia-Mills corridor — we’ll take a closer look once more details come to light.
