Register for these spring sports for youth and adults

With warmer weather on the horizon, you may be thinking about signing your kid up for spring sportsor getting back on the field yourself. The Midlands has a wide range of leagues for both youth and adults and if you’re looking to join a team this spring, registration deadlines are approaching.
Check out these leagues to find a team sport near you.
⚾ Columbia Parks and Recreation
Registration for the Miracle League of Columbia’s Spring baseball season will end on Monday, March 6. The baseball program provides a safe and enjoyable team sport experience for young athletes with special needs. This league is free for ages four and up and games will be held at Owens Field Park (1351 Jim Hamilton Blvd.).
Registration for adult league softball and kickball is open through Tuesday, Feb. 21. Registration is $300 per team and the 10-game seasons begin the week of March 13.
🎳 Everplay Sports and Social Club
From kickball + softball tovolleyball, bowling, and cornhole, Everplay Sports and Social Club offers an array of sports to choose from. Registration for spring leagues closes on Wednesday, Feb. 15, so pull the old squad together for a run at a rec league championship.
Bonus: Don’t have time to participate in a full league? Drop your name in the hat for the 6th Annual Masters of Putt Putt tournament at Frankie’s Fun Park by March 23. Make sure to plan your outfit, the best dressed will win Everplay swag.
🚩 Richland County Recreation Commission
RCRC offers youth sports leagues for 10 and under Shinkickers (soccer), tee-ball, and flag football. Registration for soccer ends today but is open for tee-ball until Feb. 26 and through March 5 for flag football.
⛳ Lexington County Registration and Aging Commission
Beyond soccer and baseball, LCRAC offers many sports programs for youth to develop their skillsand some that are fun for the whole family. Registration for the Spring Family Golf Program is open until March 22 and is an opportunity to have fun learning how to play the game while developing skills at the same time.
