Meet these hospitality stars of the Midlands

The South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association recognizes stars of the hospitality industry in the Midlands.

The South Carolina restaurant stars will be out at the 70th Annual Stars of the Hospitality Industry Awards Gala happening on Monday, Feb. 20, at the Francis Marion Hotel in downtown Charleston.

Hosted by the South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association, the awards celebrate professionalism and outstanding service in the hospitality industry. This year’s award winners include several from the Midlands.

  • Chef of the Year — Howard Stephens, Market on Main
  • Restaurateur of the Year — Kristian Niemi, Black Rooster, Bourbon, Honey River Catering and The Dragon Room
  • Restaurant Manager of the Year — Ryan Jones, Halls Chophouse Columbia

  • Outstanding Hospitality Supplier of the Year — BreakThru Beverage of South Carolina
  • Lodging Member of the Year — IMIC Hotels (Wingate By Wyndham Lexington, Lighthouse Marina Lake Murray)
