It’s that time of year again, COLA. The 39th annual Vista Lights event returns on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 6 to 10 p.m. to kick off the holidays.
Presented by Prisma Health, this festive tradition brings together more than 60 galleries, shops, and restaurants to showcase holiday treasures + delicious treats in the Vista. Parts of Gervais, Park, and Lincoln streets will be transformed into a winter wonderland (and closed to traffic).

This one-night-only event highlights Palmetto state staples like Carolina Gold rice, Adluh cornbread, and Lowcountry blue crab.
Legacy
Columbia native and Wofford College alum Craig Melvin will take over as co-anchor of NBC’s “TODAY” show, succeeding Hoda Kotb. Melvin, who began his broadcasting career at WIS, will officially step into the role on Wednesday, Jan. 13, joining fellow anchor Savannah Guthrie. (NBC News)

Make plans to get outdoors the day after Thanksgiving. SC state parks will offer free admission on Friday, Nov. 29, including several historic home tours. Roadtrip to sites like Rose Hill, Redcliffe, and Hampton Plantations, which are offering free tours. Reserve your spot.

SCDOT is seeking public input on its 2024 Statewide Rail Plan, assessing SC’s rail needs and opportunities to expand rail service over the next 20 years. Comments are open until Saturday, Dec. 14 via mail or email.

The concept models of the Scout Traveler SUV and Scout Terra truck will be displayed outside the stadium’s Northwest Gate (Mitchell Gate) by the Lloyd Family Courtyard at the corner of Bluff Road and George Rogers Boulevard.
