Meet your 2025 ambassadors
James Agens | Owner of Terracotta Nursery and vice president of SC Pride, James Agens combines an eye for plant design with a dedication to fostering inclusivity and community in Columbia.
Aditi Bussells | Serving as Councilwoman-at-Large for the City of Columbia, Bussells is dedicated to advocating for the community and fostering positive change throughout the Soda City.
Trahern Cook | Known as Easel Cathedral, Cook documents Columbia and many of its events like Vista Lights and the Jam Room Music Festival by live painting at events.
Michaela Leung | City Editor David here. Michaela is our coworker and a Campaign Strategist here at 6AM City, so we know firsthand how great she is. Outside of her work with us, she writes her own newsletter, All is Well, is a local Pilates instructor, and supporter of all things Cola.

Crews are demolishing buildings downtown at the corner of Sumter and Lady streets to make way for Palmetto Citizens Credit Union’s five-story, 100,000-sqft headquarters. A groundbreaking is planned for spring, with completion expected by early 2027. (Post and Courier)

Columbia Children’s Theatre will hold auditions for Disney’s “Winnie the Pooh KIDS!” on Sunday, Feb. 2, and Monday, Feb. 3 at Brookland Lakeview Empowerment Center. Open to students in grades 1-6. Participants will learn a song, practice a short dance, and read lines. Scholarships are available to cover participation fees.
