There’s a new resident in the Koala Knockabout at Riverbanks Zoo. A new joey peeped out of its mother’s pouch and will soon have its first check-up.

Riverbank’s Koala Knockabout is one of the zoo’s popular attractions, founded in 2001 when the governments of South Carolina and Queensland in Australia forged a sister-state relationship .

Stop in to greet Cola’s new addition at Riverbanks Lights at the Zoo happening through Friday, Dec. 30. While some of the animals might be out and about, remember that most of the zoo’s residents may be off display and sleeping .
