Richland Library is all about community with new state-of-the-art spaces to work, create, + learn. A $10 million overhaul of the main branch was financed by a Richland County voter-approved $59 million bond referendum to renovate the county’s 12 libraries. All renovations should be near completion by January.

Here’s what you’ll find at the new + improved library:

📚 Infrastructure upgrades like new heating + air for the entire 242k sq. ft. building

📚 Attention to design with bright colors + bold prints throughout the main level

📚 A rearranged main library for a better view of the city through those giant windows

📚 Creative space for making tactile art and audio + video production studios, plus an auditorium

📚 A teen center with a makerspace + gaming room

📚 A children’s area with a puppet stage + storytelling room on the garden level (still under construction)
