Just in case you don’t know, Columbia’s REI store (2300 Bull St.) is a one-stop-shop for outdoor enthusiasts. If there is anything you need for camping, climbing, cycling, hiking, or paddling, this is the place for you. They also provide a complete bike shop and if you have never stopped by, you can take a virtual tour here.

When you visit the store in person, there are COVID-19 precautions in place, including limited capacity, face masks and social distancing. Currently, all classes and events are paused until it is safe to do so.

In the meantime there is a national program offered by REIOutFit with REI, an eight-week virtual fitness program happening now through March 14. They have partnered with a fitness coach + a yoga instructor to provide training plans and healthy eating tips which you can sign up for here.

Until we can gather again in real life, there are a number of virtual offerings that are available to check out. Today, you can sign up for a personal one-on-one virtual outfitting with an expert to help get ready for your next big adventure. During the call you can ask questions about the type of gear you might need, get advice for an upcoming adventure, or prepare for a new outdoor activity you haven’t tried yet.

Appointments are available seven days a week and you can sign up for one here. Not sure what to expect or the types of conversations you can have? Here are few ideas.
