Residents can apply now through Jan. 22 to serve on several Richland County boards, committees + commissions:
- Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee | 5 vacancies | one applicant must have a background in cultural arts; three applicants must have a background in the hospitality industry; one is an at-large seat
- Hospitality Tax Advisory Committee | 2 vacancies | applicants must have a background in the restaurant industry
- Internal Audit Committee | 1 vacancy | applicant must be a certified public accountant
- Business Service Center Appeals Board | 1 vacancy | applicant must be an attorney
- Board of Assessment Appeals | 2 vacancies
- Board of Zoning Appeals | 3 vacancies
- Central Midlands Council of Governments | 3 vacancies
- Building Codes Board of Appeals | 2 vacancies | one applicant must have a background in architecture; one with a background as a contractor
- Procurement Review Panel | 2 vacancies | one applicant must have a background in public procurement; one applicant must be from the consumer industry
- Airport Commission | 1 vacancy
- Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority | 1 vacancy
- Community Relations Council | 1 vacancy | applicant will have fundraising responsibilities
- Transportation Penny Advisory Committee | 2 vacancies
- Richland Memorial Hospital Board | 1 vacancy
- Lexington/Richland Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council | 1 vacancy
