We love MiLB. What other sport gives you the chance to watch 140 games per season?

The Columbia Fireflies are kicking off their fourth season with Opening Day vs. the Charleston RiverDogs on Thursday, April 4 at Segra Park. And we’re ready to start Springtime with baseball, Street Corn and Budweiser Thirsty Thursday™ ($1 Bud Light Drafts on the centerfield concourse and half-price domestic + craft draft beer all night).

Even after the post-game fireworks have settled on Opening Day (just 1 of 20 fireworks games this season), there are plenty of match-ups + themed games to look forward to. Not even counting all the Trash the Poop Wag-Along Wednesdays.

Here are our 6 can’t-miss Fireflies games for 2019:

  • May the 4th be with you | Saturday, May 4 | 6:05 p.m. | Celebrate National Star Wars Day (Lea buns are a must) + watch the post-game fireworks. 🎆
  • A Night of Fire and Ice | Thursday, May 23 | 7:05 p.m. | This is a themed game in celebration of all the Jon Snows + Daenerys Targaryens out there – even you Cersei Lannisters. Costumes encouraged, but leave your dragons at home. Bonus: It’s Budweiser Thirsty Thursday™… Because that’s what the Fireflies do. They drink and they know things (about baseball and stuff).
  • Military Hero Card Set game | Thursday, May 30 | 7:05 p.m. | The first 1,000 fans will receive an exclusive card set featuring local heroes, who were submitted to be featured on the special merch by Soda Citizens last year.
  • 60’s Night | Saturday, June 15 | 6:05 p.m. | Featuring classic tunes from The Beatles + The Beach Boys. ProTip: Take your dad for Father’s Day weekend. He’ll love the throwback jams. 🕺
  • MARVEL Super Hero™ Night | Friday, July 26 | 7:05 p.m. | Here’s your chance for the whole family to dress up like The Avengers. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Black Panther bobblehead, plus there will be superhero-themed activities.
  • Grateful Dead Night | Thursday, August 29 | 7:05 p.m. | You can bet your Scarlet Begonias that we’ll be Truckin’ to Segra Park for this game. Come for the Grateful Dead theme; stay for the post-game fireworks.
