Just when we thought Dominion Energy would be taking care of S.C.’s nuclear problems, it looks like NextEra – another utility giant, similar to Dominion – could be getting ready to make an offer to purchase Santee Cooper.
It’s still pretty unclear what NextEra’s lobbying efforts are in S.C. or how they’re going, but some some say to be considered, NextEra needs to make a move like Dominion did (who pitched a $14.6 billion deal including refunds for SCE&G customers).
