Cola native and freshman at USC Ashlyn Watkins slammed the first dunk in program history during last week’s game against our in-state rivals on Clemson’s home court. The Gamecocks brought home the victory (85 to 31).

Ashlyn Watkins is no stranger to dunking though because she won this year’s dunk contest at the McDonald’s All-America (2022) Game.

She graduated from Cardinal Newman High School, and was its all-time leading scorer , averaging 20.5 points, 15.5 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game as a senior.

We don’t know about you, but we are excited to see more from Ashlyn in the future. You can see her and the rest of the USC Women’s Basketball team play at their next home game this Sun., Nov. 27 at 12 p.m. against Hampton .
