Wondering how this football season will go for the Gamecocks? 🐔🏈 Here’s Go Gamecocks writer Josh Kendall’s game-by-game predictions for the 2017 season, which kicks off this Saturday, Sept. 2 in Charlotte.

🏈 vs. N.C. State | Sept. 2 | Prediction: N.C. State 27, South Carolina 20

🗣️ N.C. State’s strong defensive line will expose the Gamecocks’ questionable pass protection + run game.

🏈 @ Missouri | Sept. 9 | South Carolina 37, Missouri 34

🗣️ The Gamecocks’ offense will capitalize on the weak Mizzou defense. If this were a home game, Kendall would bet on a sure victory - but since it’s at Mizzou, this one might turn out to be a nail-biter.

🏈 vs. Kentucky | Sept. 16 | South Carolina 34, Kentucky 28

🗣️ Hoping to correct a 3-game losing streak against Kentucky in its first home game of the season.

🏈 vs. Louisiana Tech | Sept. 23 | South Carolina 48, Louisiana Tech 17

🗣️ Gamecock offense to flourish big time against the notoriously weak L.A. Tech defense.

See the full season’s predictions.

Kendall projects for the Gamecocks to close out the season with the same record as last year – 6-6. Not a step forward, but not a step back, either.
