Ready, set, summer. It’s not too soon to start thinking about what the kids (or even you) are going to do with all that free time once school is out.

Luckily, Hammond School offers 150+ summer programs for adults and kids right here in Columbia. The programs (which are available to both Hammond and non-Hammond students and families) are designed for all interests – like science, arts, sports, technology + theatre.

Kids can also attend the Hawk Ridge Camp – one of Hammond’s star Summer Programs. It’s a half-day or full-day camp for children ages 3 through rising 6th graders (broken up by age), giving campers numerous opportunities to experience a variety of field trips and field studies – and participate in enrichment programs twice a week, including yoga, tennis, dance + more. Campers can attend only one day or up to five days in one week.

A lunch programprovided by local restaurants – is also available to everyone attending a camp or program. And new this summer: organic milk + organic apple juice drink options. Gone are the days of throwing a ham and cheese Lunchable in a bag as you rush out the door.

For the adults, Hammond’s Summer Programs include skill-building courses like private tennis lessons, voice lessons, Advanced Robotics programs for STEM careers, an immersive Spanish language camp + more. See the full enrichment course catalog here.

Hammond Summer Programs kick-off June 3 and last until August 2 (closed the week of July 1-5). Registration for all programs begins Friday, Jan. 18.

You can learn more about Hammond’s Summer Programs via Facebook, Twitter + Instagram; online, or by calling the Auxiliary Programs Office at 803.726.6413.
