The 1600 block of Main St. is getting a new addition. We’re talking about Smoked – a restaurant and microbrewery with a focus on specialty smoked meat, oysters + libations – planned to open this fall. 🙌

Construction is currently underway at the 1643 Main St. location, next door to Hendrix. The Reconstruction-era building recently housed Jeff Morris Furniture and Appliances + was originally home to Erhlich’s Shoe Store from 1868-1924. Calling all history buffs who love a good sneak peek: Historic Columbia is hosting a behind-the-scenes tour of the space on Thurs., Feb. 25.

While we wait for Smoked to open, there’s plenty to keep us occupied – like helping choose the restaurant’s logo. Consider the ballot box open, Cola. Check out the designs below, let us know which is your favorite on Facebook or Instagram , and we’ll pass the results on to the Smoked team.
