If the 28th Annual Famously Hot S.C. Pride Festival matches last year’s record of an estimated 55K attendees, the weekend-long party on Main St. will literally paint the town rainbow.

The event kicks off Friday with an evening parade + fireworks, followed by a street dance party at Lady + Main St. hosted by Lil’ Kim. Saturday’s festival begins at noon on Main St. with live + drag performances at CMA Plaza.

Here’s your Pride Guide:

🌈 For the first timer | If it’s your first experience with a pride festival, you must see the parade + the music/drag fest on Main St. – look out for vendors on Saturday with LGBT info + resources at tents along Main.

🌈 For the family | The Friday night parade (with fireworks to follow) + the Saturday afternoon festival is family-friendly with an alcohol-free zone at Main + Washington St.

🌈 For the veteran | You’ve done the parade + festival, but this year they’re a little different. Check out the first ever night parade and stay for the block party. (Also check out the late night activities. )

🌈 For the party animal | After the block dance party, visit the “Pre-party after-party” at the Capital Club. On Saturday after the festival, head to the Aftermath party at Main Street Public House to rub shoulders with stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race ($15 cover).
