Welcome to 2019, Columbia. We hope you spent last night counting down watching the ball drop, singing along to your favorite band, or with a glass clink at midnight. (If you were slumbering through midnight, we don’t blame you).

The last 365 days in 2018 we’ve tackled a lot together – from affordable housing + new developments to city history + so many food (and drink) lists – plus so much more. We’ve sent 261 daily newsletters in 2018, all of which were inspired by you, our readers.

In 2019, we’re committed to bringing you the best of our city. We will continue to inspire, inform + engage on Instagram, Facebook + Twitter. We will continue to answer all your questions when you email us. We will continue to help be a guide for living Columbia with our daily newsletter + website. But most of all, we can’t wait to keep joining the conversation + answering what you want to know about your city. (Keep that question in your mind – We’re going to officially ask you what you want to see from us later this month).

Today, we’re reflecting on the past year and gearing up for what’s ahead (we have big goals for 2019). We hope you’re taking time off today to capstone a busy holiday season and settle in for the new year. See you tomorrow. 👋
