This week’s nonprofit challenge of #yalltogetherSC is “Encourage Y’all,” announced yesterday by Together SC.

“Encourage Y’all” aims to generate social media messages that encourage nonprofit work + contributions. As a nonprofit or a local individual, you can:

  • Share nonprofit job openings, board openings + volunteer opportunities
  • Share why you volunteer/serve/work for or with nonprofits
  • Encourage people to volunteer, join boards + consider nonprofit careers

Share these encouragements on social media this week – now through next Tuesday – using the hashtags #yalltogetherSC and #COLAtoday. We’ll pick a few posts to share here in our newsletter on Giving Tuesday.

Here are a few of our favorite posts from last week’s challenge, “Energize Y’all,” which called for statistics + stories that move the needle for nonprofits + the NPO sector:

Stone Soup Storytelling Festival noted that stories can be up to 22 times more impactful than just listing facts:

Lisa shared stats about Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Upstate, including that Little Brothers + Sisters are 52% less likely to skip school:
