Here’s your one-month reminder to start planning for Mother’s Day, COLA. (Hint: It’s on Sun., May 8.) Instead of scrambling for brunch reservations on the 7th, we have a better idea: making plans now for Art Blossoms at the Columbia Museum of Art. 🌸

Happening for just one weekend from Thurs., May 5-Sun., May 8, 2022, this unique fundraising exhibition includes dazzling flowers and art, special events, classes, demonstrations, and more. Think: floral interpretations of famous works of art inside + outside the museum during regular hours, plus plenty of exciting opportunities to celebrate the moms in your life, like:

  • Art Blossoms Opening Celebration | Wed., May 4, 2022 | 6-8 p.m. | Get an exclusive preview before Art Blossoms opens to the public while enjoying hors d’oeuvres from 8th Wonder Cuisine, specialty cocktails, and live music in the open air of Boyd Plaza. 🍸
  • Botany ArtBreak with Dr. John Nelson | Thurs., May 5, 2022 | 11 a.m.-12 p.m. | Gift your green-thumbed girlfriend with a crash course on plant diversity. Bonus: Treat her to a drink from Azalea Coffee Bar. 🌿
  • Flower Pedals: A Botanical Bike Parade | Fri., May 6, 2022 | 6-8:30 p.m. | Decorate your bikes (or Blue Bike SC rentals) with floral craft supplies and enjoy a ride to the Boyd Foundation Horticultural Center for a tour before heading back to the CMA for drinks + charcuterie. 🚲
