This Friday, January 24, is Beer Can Appreciation Day – a day that has been celebrated since the very first beer cans were sold back in 1935. Krueger’s Finest Beer and Krueger’s Cream Ale, to be exact.

So we thought, what better way to celebrate here in Columbia than by highlighting Soda Citizens’ favorite local beer can designs.

I (Sam) am partial to River Rat’s American Kolsch Story can. I love all the bright colors; it pops right off the shelf.

Miranda’s favorite can is Steel Hand’s Coffee Lager. The simplicity of the colors and fonts compliment each other for a nice clean look + you know exactly what you’re drinking as soon as you pick up the can.

Now it’s your turn to tell us yours. Send an email to hello@colatoday.com and let us know your favorite Columbia brewery can (bonus points if you also send us a photo of the can). We’ll tally up the top four and have y’all vote on the best can Friday, January 24.
