It’s no secret that Columbia is home to some of the best restaurants in S.C. – including some of the best burgers. Seriously, no matter where you’re dining out in Cola, you’re bound to find a banging burger on the menu. (I mean, we did just get called a “Meatiest” destination by National Geographic).

Here are some on our must-try list:

🍔 Every Thursday is Burger Day at Spotted Salamander – topped with melted cheese, house-made pickles + bacon jam. If the above photo doesn’t have you drooling, there must be something wrong with your taste buds.

🍔 The Kingsman is responsible for creating an absolutely delicious monstrosity – the Big Cheese, which is one of their signature 10 oz. ribeye burgers sandwiched by two bacon-grilled cheese sandwiches.

🍔 The Whig’s signature Whig Burger is oh-so gourmet, complete with smoked gouda, sriracha aioli + bacon. Pro tip: We also love the Berger Burger.

🍔 If you didn’t think Burger Tavern 77 was gonna make the list, you were mistaken. Their menu has 77 options with 200,000+ customization combos.

🍔 Pawley’s Front Porch in Five Points once received the ultimate culinary compliment when Guy Fieri himself featured the restaurant on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. (And for a short while, Cola was known as Flavortown.) For a Southern twist, try their Fripp Island Burger, topped with fried green tomatoes.
