Four million and counting. The Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center (CMCC) just celebrated a major milestone, welcoming its four millionth visitor during the Darla Moore School of Business Spring Expo. The venue has hosted major events, filled hotel rooms, and boosted area businesses since opening in 2004.

By the numbers:

  • 8,100+ events hosted — from trade shows to galas
  • 200,000+ hotel rooms booked in the past decade
  • $100+ million economic impact from tourism and events
  • Largest crowd: FLW Forrest Wood Cup Expo (2017) – 68,350 attendees

With 142,500 sqft of event space and 19 customizable rooms, CMCC is SC’s only downtown convention center. Next milestone? Five million visitors.
