Last month, we tried our hand at South Carolina State Museum’s (SCSM) new Sherlock Holmes exhibit – which not only gives visitors a behind-the-scene look at Warner Bros.’ Sherlock Holmes movies + more, but also allows them the chance to participate and solve a murder mystery on their own.

As part of this new exhibit, SCSM – in partnership with Richland Library, Experience Columbia, Soda City and Historic Columbia – announced a city-wide scavenger hunt: Get a Clue Columbia.

Get A Clue Columbia will give Soda Citizens the opportunity to find missing ticket prize packages into the exhibit, every Saturday, March 12-April 4. Packages will include four general admission tickets, four tickets to the Sherlock Holmes exhibit + mystery gifts from partners around Columbia.

Here’s how it works:

  • Clues about the packages’ locations will be posted to the museum’s Facebook, Instagram + Twitter feeds daily.
  • Each Saturday, the packages will be hidden + participants will be able to hunt for them from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • If you find a prize package, post a photo to your social media channels with #GetAClueColumbia.
  • There will be four winners each week, and the first participant to find each location will receive a grand prize package (which includes a one year family plus gift membership to SCSM)

So start gathering your friends, and get ready to explore our city – but pay close attention to your surroundings because a package of fun awaits you.
