Update: In a previous version of this article, we incorrectly named and identified Demoria Elise Williams — a contestant on Season 14 of RuPaul’s Drag Race who is well-known by the stage name, “Kornbread “the snack” Jeté.” We are grateful for the feedback we received pertaining to coverage of transgender community members and are sorry for any offense we caused. The COLAtoday team is learning from this experience. We have updated the article with her correct name and pronouns.

No, we don’t mean the buttery, delicious bread you have on the side of grandma’s soup — we’re talking about Kornbread “the snack” Jeté (a Columbia native) who was on Season 14 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

She won the first episode’s competition — The Charisma, Nerve and Talent Show — where she performed in front of GRAMMY AWARD winning artist, Lizzo as a guest judge using her original song. Unfortunately, she had to leave the show due to an ankle injury during the Super Tease challenge.

Though her time on the show ended, she was considered a fan-favorite, because baked Kornbread is always a crowd pleaser. When asked during an interview with Billboard if she was going back on the show she said “I’m hoping they bring me back! It’s actually the 11th commandment — ‘thou shalt bring Kornbread’s ass back to the people’s TV.’”

While you wait for the 11th commandment’s manifestation, you have the chance to see her perform locally on March 27th The Woody for Elena DeVour’s Birthday Bash.
