Lowes Food Love Affair

Lowes Foods

Lexington’s new Lowes Foods opened this month – and of course we had to drive 40 min at rush hour for its grand opening to see for ourselves what all the buzz was about. The mecca of grocery stores offers a *unique* shopping experience (read: drinking wine while you shop) + focuses on locally-sourced products. Here are some musts when navigating through Lowes:

🍻 Beer Den / Offers a huuuuuge variety of craft + local brews on tap. Chill in the den or sip n’ shop.

🍗 Food Stations / Satisfy every craving – from good ol’ southern fried chicken to sushi to cake. You won’t leave hungry.

🍭 Candy Station / Features gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free + sugar-free options. And the sugary, good stuff, too.

🌭 Sausage Works / The sausages are organized by meat type + given cute names – like Sgt. Pepperoni.

🥒 Produce Section / Choose from a wide selection of pre-cut fruits + veggies or pick them whole and the staff will chop, slice and dice for you.

Oh yeah, Forest Acres gets a Lowes Foods in 2018 at the former Bi-Lo location at 4711 Forest Dr. Budget accordingly.
