Lula Drake – the upscale wine bar on Main St. that everyone + their mom has been talking about for almost a year now – is about to welcome Main St.’s newest event venue: Pastor’s Study at Lula Drake. Set to open in October, it will be directly above Lula Drake, and it’ll likely host upscale events like weddings + rehearsals, office parties, holiday events + more.

The space, which was named named after what Ebenezer Lutheran Church once used if foran off-campus pastor’s studyhasn’t been touched since the 1940s and appears it was most recently used as storage space for a sporting goods store that was once next door (after finding sports equipment with faded price tags still attached).

Other things found in the untouched space were old furniture, 100-year-old wallpaper, exposed brick, wood paneling + heart-of-pine floors – all of which plan to be incorporated into the new event space, to keep the throwback-European vibe Lula Drake has set downstairs. A rooftop patio is planned to eventually be added.
