This year, we partnered with the Sierra Club as part of their Mayors for 100% Clean Energy campaign. Not only has Columbia committed to 100% clean energy by 2036, but we have also shown the country that the South does care about climate change.
The Sierra Club has recently released a new podcast project called “The Land I Trust” that highlights the real consequences of fossil fuels and climate change on our region. America withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement this year, but as city leaders, we have collectively committed to protecting the planet we will leave to the next generations, finding innovative solutions for renewable energy + working to keep our communities free of hazardous emissions.
You can listen to “The Land I Trust” on iTunes, Stitcher and Google Play – or watch this short video trailer for the project.
