5 peach orchards within driving distance 🍑

When it comes to summertime, S.C. never leaves us s(peach)less.

DYK that when it comes to peach production, S.C. comes in 2nd nationally behind California? And come on… they cover much more land. We produce more peaches than “the peach state” – take that, Georgia.

I know at this time each year I’m on a quest to find the most plump + perfect peaches, but going to the grocery store can only get you so far. Why rely on other people to decide what peaches enter your home? Go out and pick your own peaches, Cola.

Produce always tastes sweeter when you pick it yourself, so here are five S.C. peach orchards that are an easy drive away. Pick your own sweet, spherical taste of summertime.

This fruit definitely has a peach of our heart.

Bush-N-Vine
This York-based farm has been growing fruits and veggies since 1979. With a picnic area, observation bee hives + hiking trails, your journey to York will not stop at just peach pickin’.

The most fitting way to ap-peach-iate the fruit that has a piece of all of our hearts is to get together at the Lexington County Peach Festival on July 4 to celebrate what makes us feel fuzzy inside: live music, fresh peach ice cream, a peach parade + ‘merica.

Cause we got 99 problems, but a peach ain’t one.
