While we’ll be spending most of our weekends at Williams-Brice, we also can’t ignore the other great events happening around the city this month. From delicious Greek food to a show straight out of the Wizarding World, these are the events you should plan ahead for this month:

Gamecock Football vs. Charleston Southern | Saturday, Sept. 7 | 12 p.m. | Williams-Brice Stadium | $10+ | Don’t miss out on the first home game at Willy-B this year. If you are a little rusty on gameday etiquette, be sure to look at our guide to Gamecock football.

Hootie & The Blowfish: Group Therapy Tour | Wednesday-Friday, Sept. 11-13 | Colonial Life Arena | $30+ | Seriously, you won’t want to miss Hootie and the Blowfish’s homecoming concert. We already know the energy at Colonial Life is going to be through the roof.

Return to Hogwarts | Sunday, Sept. 15 | 3-5 p.m. | Koger Center for the Arts | $15-40 | Calling all Harry Potter fans: the South Carolina Philharmonic is putting on a Harry Potter-themed show. Activities will take place in the lobby from 2 p.m. until the show.

Columbia’s 33rd Annual Greek Festival | Thursday-Sunday, Sept. 19-22 | Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1931 Sumter St. | Free | If you haven’t been to the festival yet, this is your chance to experience Greek culture through food vendors, activities, dancing and more.

Irmo Okra Strut Festival | Friday-Saturday, Sept. 27-28 | Irmo Community Park, 7507 Eastview Dr., Irmo | Free to attend | Participate in the Friday night street dance with a live band or visit Saturday morning for the largest parade in the state. The festival is full of vendors, activities and more.
