A night with a pink carpet to walk and champagne to sip? Sign us up. United Way of the Midlands will host Power of the Purse (PoP), their 16th annual charity event to benefit local community programs, on Thursday, May 23, 6:30 p.m. at the newly-renovated Columbia Museum of Art.

If you’ve never been, here’s how the night goes down: 👗 put on your favorite cocktail attire for the party (photo op on the Bank of America Pink Carpet is a must), 🍽 snack on special dishes by Southern Way Catering, 🎤 catch the music by Prettier than Matt, 🍸 grab a drink from the open bar to prepare for bidding, 👜 and head to the silent auction.

You’ll have the chance to bid on purses donated from local businesses, or the new, special section of luxury items (including items for men). Stay up-to-date on your bidding war (for a cause) from an easy-to-use app on your phone.

Next? 💵 End your evening knowing that your ticket ($50) + auction bid went to a good cause. Proceeds benefit community programs like Homeless No More, which supports single moms + helps get them back on their feet. Plus, you may be taking home a beautiful new accessory. Buy PoP tickets here.
