The South Carolina State Museum released its 2023 lineup of spring break and summer camps for ages 6 to 11.

With each camp exploring a different topic, your kiddos have an opportunity to learn and explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

Spring Break Camps will run from Monday, April 10-Friday, April 14, and you have the choice between signing up for individual days or the week-long camps. Each day will begin with morning social time and then move into museum exploration, hands-on activities, and lunch or snack times.

Spring Break Camp Lineup

Monday, April 10: Spring Starshine | Learn about the Sun.

Tuesday, April 11: Argh You Ready For Pirate Day?! |Learn about the impact of pirates on SC’s coast.

Wednesday, April 12: We’re Going to Need a Bigger Bot | Program robots that maneuver an obstacle course.

Thursday, April 13: Conversations about Conservation | Explore how humans impact the ocean’s ecosystem.

Friday, April 14: Deep Diving Art | Learn how to keep coral reefs safe.

Summer Camps will run from June-August. Campers have the option of participating in a variety of week-long camps. They’ll explore the museum, experience 4D and planetarium shows, and engage in STEAM projects.

    • Invention Convention | Tinkering and problem-solve to create your own invention.
    • Little Bots |Understand the difference between robots and mechanical creations.
    • I’m All Booked Up! | Focused on fostering a love of reading
    • Can YOU Believe it? | Participate in this fact or fiction camp.
  • 9-11 Year-Old Camps

    • Creative Survivors | Learn survival skills
    • To the Planetarium...and Beyond | Exploring the solar system
    • Pirates of the Carolinas | Learn about SC’s coast’s pirates.
    • All Powered Up | Explore how robots talk, move, and think.
    • Game On! | Create puzzles, code adventures, and build new worlds.
