The wait is finally over – tomorrow, Savage Craft Ale Works (430 Center St., West Columbia) is hosting its grand opening, bringing new brews + rooftop views of the Soda City skyline.

After it’s announcement in 2018, the long-awaited brewery has grabbed the attention of many. So, we took a drive across the bridge to take a sneak peek + bring y’all the need-to-know deets so you can walk in to tomorrow’s event already a pro.

🍺 The space

You may recognize the buildings – Savage Craft has restored and moved into the former Brookland police station, fire department, and jail. As you walk through, you’ll notice pieces of history throughout the modern space, like old photographs on the walls and tables constructed of the old fire station doors.

There’s a space to imbibe for every preference – a beer garden with picnic tables by the stage, a large rooftop patio with a fire pit, and ample indoor seating.

And just because the weather will warm up soon doesn’t mean the beer will. Savage Craft worked with three companies to create one-of-a-kind tables for the rooftop patio with cooling cup holders. Yup, you read that right. In the summer heat, the built-in cup holders will chill your beer while your hands sweat.

Looking for a space for a business meeting or small event? There are two designated event spaces at the brewery; one with seating for ~30 and one for ~60 people.

🍺 The food + drinks

The main attraction. The Savage Craft team has been working hard to produce food, beer and cocktail menus that everyone will enjoy. The best part? Different food options will be available in different spaces – a full menu will be available in the beer garden while the rooftop patio will serve a tapas style menu.

Tomorrow, several beers will be on tap, including a cream ale, which will be available as a normal pour and nitro pour.
