Happy Friday eve, Cola – Miranda here. Today is the first day of Restaurant Week in South Carolina – and for my fellow foodies, it means it’s our time to shine. Below are a few details about restaurant week, along with my top picks for dinner over the next eleven nights.

Restaurant “week” actually extends for 11 full days (today through Sun., Jan. 19).

Columbia has 40+ restaurants participating. From fast-casual to fine dining, these eateries ft. prix fixe menus (i.e. appetizer, entree + dessert for one fixed price) along with other promotions + discounts to help you eat your way through Soda City.

Restaurant Week is not limited to downtown – it includes specials at restaurants in West Columbia, Irmo, Lexington, NE Columbia + more.

My top picks:

Kao Thai (Thai), 1001 Senate St. #300 | 3 courses for $25-35 per person

Featuring Tom Kha Chicken, Thai Crab Cakes + (my favorite) Japanese Cream Puffs. Here’s their full menu for RW.

Il Giorgione (Italian), 2406 Devine St. | 3 Courses for $28 per person

Featuring Tortelloni, Pesce Salmone + Amaretto Bread Pudding. Here’s their full menu for RW.

Tombo Grille (American), 4517 Forest Dr. | 3 Courses for $30 per person

Featuring Mac n’ Cheese (made with BBQ pork shoulder), Braised Short Rib, + a Yogurt Panna Cotta. Here’s their full menu for RW.
