The matchmaker of bands

10 years ago, Cola resident + UofSC grad David Stringer started a music blog – one that grew so big in popularity, some say it shaped the music scene in S.C. It’s called Scene SC.

The non-profit blog (now just a hobby of Stringer’s, who works full-time for UofSC) helped musicians all around S.C. meet like-minded others, build relationships + collab on music – something Stringer noticed was missing from the music scene.

Through Scene SC, Stringer has hosted hundreds of shows + has had the opportunity to help coordinate music festivals around the state, like Fall for Greenville. His 2018 goal is to put together a larger music festival + throw a 10-year anniversary party (we’re in).
