Hey, COLA — Michaela here. 👋 I recently stopped by Clothes Mentor to get a wardrobe refresh for the fall season (which officially starts tomorrow). As fun as shopping is, it can sometimes be overwhelming with so many options to choose from — so I opted to try the Personal Shopper option, which puts it on Clothes Mentor’s fashion experts to pre-select an array of clothing items based on your answers to a quiz.

I’m excited to show you how they did:

What we tried (with pricing):

A few days before heading to the store, I took a Personal Shopper Quiz (it takes less than ~60 seconds) to answer questions describing my style, explaining what kind of clothing I was looking for, and to let the shopper know my sizes.

The Personal Shopper option — which is free — made such a difference. When I got to the store, the dressing room was filled with really cute pieces that fit my style to a tee. My personal shopper, Katie, did a great job using my feedback in the quiz to pick pieces that were just what I was looking for.

Want to see what I purchased? Keep reading to see how Clothes Mentor got me ready for fall.

What not to miss:

You can find so many designer brand pieces for a fraction of the price (typically 70% off retail) — so you can get more bang for your buck. Buying second-hand isn’t just cost-effective, it’s sustainable, which makes it great for the environment.

The store is organized by color, style, and size which makes browsing super easy. The store is size inclusive from 00-3x and they offer military, student/teacher + senior discounts.

Here’s an outfit picked from their curated pieces — I’m excited to wear this for a brunch or even a night out.

What we’re still talking about:

I adored the pieces that were picked for me — so much so that I went home with enough to put together a few fun, fall outfits.

How you can experience this:

The Personal Shopper Quiz is quick, and easy to fill out. Take the quiz a few days before heading to the store to give your shopper enough time to really analyze your answers to curate your options.

If you’d rather pick your own pieces, shopping in-store is really easy thanks to the organization — or you can shop online.
