Will market for a good cause

Riggs

Over the weekend [and while you were sleeping], Riggs Partners completed its 20th annual CreateAthon®, a 24-hour marketing marathon designed to deliver professional marketing services to nonprofit organizations that could otherwise not afford them.

The six nonprofits that benefited this year:

  1. Auntie Bellum
  2. Columbia Children’s Theatre
  3. Girls Rock
  4. Greenville Family Partnership
  5. Heroes in Blue
  6. Lexington Interfaith Community Services

Projects varied from full rebranding and positioning to website updates and digital marketing solutions. Many clients will unveil their new brand and marketing initiatives in the coming months.

Sun Solutions will again donate printing services for marketing materials developed for CreateAthon clients. There’s a whole lotta good will going down here, and we love it.

What exactly is CreateAthon®?

The global movement began with a simple question: “What if we actually worked around the clock, for charity?”

That was the initial conversation between Teresa Coles and Cathy Monetti in the summer of 1998. As principals of Riggs Partners, Cola-based advertising agency, the pair put plans in motion for their charitable all-nighter — and CreateAthon was born. It’s now grown into a national nonprofit organization, engaging marketing pros + students all over the world in pro bono service.

In its 20-year life, CreateAthon has:

Helped 3500+ nonprofits

Worked with 100+ partner organizations

Given $24 million in pro bono services — and their goal is to give > $100 million by 2020.
