DYK? 2021 was designated by the World Health Organization as the International Year of Health and Care Workers in appreciation for their dedication to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. In honor of this specially-designated year + World Health Day coming up on April 7, we’re thanking all healthcare workers, including the local staff at Palmetto Primary Care Physicians (PPCP). 🧑‍⚕️

Palmetto Primary Care Physicians, by the numbers:

  • 25: How many years PPCP has been around.
  • 3: How many independent primary care practices PPCP started with.
  • 43: How many practices PPCP has now across the Midlands, and Grand Strand areas. (It’s now the largest independent multi-specialty physicians group in SC.
  • 500: The number of medical and non-medical team members on staff with PPCP across all its locations — read: a *lot* of healthcare heroes to be thankful for this year.

Because PPCP’s team of physicians, advanced practitioners, clinical + non-clinical staff are ingrained in the communities they servemany work, live + play right here in COLA — when medical situations like COVID-19 arise, these folks work tirelessly to continue to provide local patients with the care that they deserve.

Plus, as an independent physicians group, PPCP isn’t affiliated with any one hospital, which means that their medical providers work with patients to choose the best medical treatment plans, specialists, and service options for them.
