New CBD coming to the 803.

A veteran-owned artisan CBD storefront is coming to West Columbia after the zoning approval was passed on Tuesday night by the the West Columbia Zoning Board of Appeals.

Veterans Botanical Group plans to manufacture in-house + sell CBD edibles, cosmetics, topicals, and other hemp products that target inflammation-related issues — things like back pain, headaches, and joints.

Though unanimously passed, some rules preceded the approval. The new CBD manufacturer will not be allowed any flashing lights, vape advertising, or have any cannabis displays of any kind in front of the business.

The initial goal for opening a store was to help other veterans with aches, pains, headaches + other symptoms using homeopathic remedies for long-term treatment rather than pain medications.

The SC state law prohibits the use of any concentration of THC that exceeds .3% + all products will be made using Delta-8. The new location will be located at 735 Meeting St. where the former Comedy Closet used to be and there is not an opening date set.
