DYK — 30 percent of the jobs in SC are tied to manufacturing? That’s over 700,000 jobs statewide with an average salary of $60,850.
The South Carolina Manufacturing Alliance is looking for your help in deciding “The Coolest Thing Made in South Carolina.” From US Brick’s blend of craftsmanship + technology to Nephron Pharmaceuticals’ advanced device to help people breathe easier, some of the finest products in the competition are manufactured in our hometown.
Luckily for we South Carolinians, the competition in the field is strong. Items ranging from Lockheed Martin’s F16 Fighting Falcon to Nutramax Lab’s supplements to keep your doggo’s joints healthy are all made in the Palmetto State.
You might have heard about the BMW X5 made in Spartanburg, but other items made right here in our backyard may surprise you. Just our two cents, but the Worksman Side by Side Trike looks like an exciting way to get around town with a friend.
After a public nomination process, the SC Manufacturing Alliance has narrowed down the competition to 16 products, four of which are created within an hour of Cola.
Take a look at two made in the Soda City.
