Coach has his cake on GMA

Gamecock Men’s Basketball Coach Frank Martin sat down with hosts Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan on Good Morning America on Thursday morning to talk about Sunday’s historic victory against the Duke Blue Devils.

Coach Martin announced that contrary to popular belief he does not throw chairs and yell in the locker room after a less-than-satisfactory first half performance. On Sunday, he encouraged his players to “just relax” and have the courage to make that first shot in the second half.

His wife, Anja Martin, joined Coach Martin as GMA producers presented him with a birthday cake.

Let’s all hope he eats it, too, after a win tonight. Guaranteed to taste Sweeter.
