March Madness 2018 🏀

In case you missed it, it’s March, which means football’s out, basketball’s in, and baseball’s something you remember hearing about, but don’t really care about until April.

During the NCAA Selection Show last night, 36 basketball teams were chosen to compete in the Division 1 Men’s Basketball tournament deemed “March Madness”.

For the TB;DW (Too Boring, Didn’t Watch):

  • 36 teams were chosen to compete as “at-large” bids
  • 32 teams made it automatically by winning their conference tournament championship
  • That’s 68 total teams for those of you keeping count
  • The Gamecocks are out. Clemson is in at a No. 5 seed. College of Charleston snuck in with a No. 13 seed after winning the Colonial Conference.

Now what? You need to join our bracket challenge by clicking the button below. Here’s what you need to know:

  1. The deadline for submitting brackets is March 15, so sign up and fill out those brackets quick.
  2. We’ll be competing against the likes of our sister brands (GVLtoday, AVLtoday, and CHStoday) – it’s on like Donkey Kong, people.
  3. We’re giving away $100 bucks to the best overall bracket and $50 to the best bracket in each of the other three cities.

Once you click on the image below, click “Join Group”, create an account (or login), enter the secret password (colatodayrules) and then fill out your bracket. You can log back in at any time to check your score.

If you need me, I’ll be drowning in my March Sadness. Hope of repeating last year’s SINderella Story may be gone, but forever to thee, Frank Martin + Gamecock Basketball.
