ICYMI, 2019 was quite a year for Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE). After adding several new direct flights, amenities like a Mamava nursing pod + Red Eye Express, and seeing significant growth in passengers, CAE is entering 2020 with a whole new look.

The airport debuted its new rebrand last week, most notably featuring new brand colors (including a navy called Saluda blue) a refreshed logo, and new website features to reflect the modern ease locals can find when flying through CAE.

When the airport decided to rebrand, it meant taking a deep dive into their identity to figure out what they wanted to say + how to say it. They conducted research via social media monitoring and through workshops with local community leaders.

Why the change? Here’s what Kim Jamieson, CAE’s Director of Marketing and Air Service Development had to say:

“Columbia Metropolitan Airport has seen impressive and consistent momentum over the recent years with the addition of multiple new flights, like our newest nonstop route to Miami, and an increase in passenger traffic – over 1.3 million travelers in 2019. We thought now would be the best time to rebrand; but it is not just a new look and feel, it is a new mindset that we are implementing. We are focused on moving forward. And with the ongoing support of this wonderful community, the sky is the limit for CAE!”

Talk about a #GlowUp. We love the new colors + updated shapes, but we’re glad they kept “Fly with ease” as the tagline. Where do you want to fly in 2020? Let us know.
