College basketball is back, and your Gamecocks Women’s Basketball team begins the year as the No. 1 team in the country looking to return to the national championship.

With both the Gamecocks teams set to open their season this evening, we’ve got you covered for all local college team’s home openers, season schedules, and preseason awards.

The preseason accolades have been rolling in for UofSC’s Hall of Fame coach, Dawn Staley + her 2021-2022 team — which boasts the No.1 recruiting class in the nation.

DYK — Brandon Martin is the son of Gamecocks Men’s coach Frank Martin?

Tonight will be a welcome home event for three fresh faces on this year’s Men’s basketball roster. Graduates of Cardinal Newman High School, Chico Carter + Brandon Martin, along with A.C. Flora High School graduate, James Reese, hopes to lead their hometown team to new heights.
